VMware Releases Horizon 7
VMware released its greatest version of Horizon to date with version 7 of its flagship software. We think the most exciting feature is Blast Extreme. This builds upon the popular feature that allows you to access your Nine Virtual Technologies virtual desktop from a web browser with audio redirection. However, that is where the features stop. Now rebranded, Blast Extreme provides 4K resolution, support for Linux virtual desktops, GPU redirection (which means you can watch 3D content), Flash redirection, faster printing support, and requires less bandwidth.
We are excited to offer the Horizon 7 upgrade to our customers at no cost and are aggressively evaluating the product and its features in our lab.
